Moss Point Beach – Laguna, CA – Bengi and Monica Engagement Session

What a perfect day this was. The weather was amazing, the light was in our favor, and Bengi and Monica were a total blast to shoot. We walked around the downtown area of Laguna for awhile. It’s a great spot for little storefront shops and there is even an old London Style phone booth there that is always fun to use. After that we headed down to Moss Point Beach for some fun shots on the coast at sunset. All in all it was a gorgeous day and I couldn’t have had a better time getting to know Bengi and Monica more. I am super excited to be shooting there wedding this fall at the Coco Palms restaurant in Pomona!

Family Portrait at Wood’s Cove, Laguna Beach CA – Lyndsey and JJ

This summer I had a little contest on my Facebook page for previous clients. I posted pictures from my previous clients weddings and the goal was for them to tell their friends and family to join my group and vote for their photo. Whoever got the most votes by the end of the competition would win a free portrait session. I wasn’t sure what kind of response the competition would get, but it was insane! There were some really committed contestants. It was amazing! It was a really close call for awhile, but ultimately Lyndsey and JJ pulled ahead by a couple hundred votes on the last day of the competition! They totally rocked it and I was super excited to have them participate and I send many thanks to all of the other contestants who were so great during the whole process. Especially Meliss and Chad – you guys gave Lyndsey and JJ a run for their money! I hadn’t seen Lyndsey and JJ since their wedding over a year ago so it was extremely fun to get to shoot them again. We had an amazing day at Wood’s Cove down in Laguna Beach. They even brought their dog Winston who was a trooper and added so much fun to the day. Thanks again to Lyndsey and JJ for making this a great experience and for working so hard to take the win! I hope you enjoy!

Laguna Beach – Gaby and Matt’s Engagement Session

Laguna Beach is proving to be a gold mine of fun locations!! So much to play with! Gaby and Matt met me in the little downtown area just across from the Laguna Playhouse and we spent the next couple of hours just wandering around exploring the in’s and out’s of Laguna. They were both a ton of fun to be around! They even brought their dog Rocco down for some of the shots. After wearing ourselves out in the town we headed down to the infamous Moss Point beach for some shots in the sand and to catch the sunset. Weren’t any clouds to speak of unfortunately, but still got some fun stuff. Enjoy!

Laguna Beach – Moss Point Beach, Sawdust Festival/Tivoli Too/Laguna Playhouse – Tracee and Justin’s Engagement Session

I LOVE Laguna! Might be a bit of a drive for some of us, bot sooo worth it. I met Tracee and Justin down by the Laguna Playhouse and we walked up to Tivoli Too and the Sawdust art Festival as well as around some of the buildings and parking lots. The whole area is completely inspired by the arts so even the bus stops are fun and arty. If you’ve never been down there I highly recommend it! After we finished up with the fun urban shots we still had time to head down to Moss Point Beach to grab a few shots in the sand. The clouds were only on the horizon so the sunset was slightly subdued, but we still got some fun shots. I really enjoyed meeting Tracee and Justin. They were both soo much fun and energetic and I had a great time the whole day hanging out with them. Can’t Wait to do it again! :)

Brian and Alyda – Crystal Cove

I am ashamed to say that I had not ever really been to the Crystal Cove before. I grew up in Orange County and somehow managed to miss out on this locale! Now being a photographer makes this even worse. I am ashamed, but very glad that my eyes have finally been opened. It is a gorgeous location with many attractions from hiking to surfing. One of the plus sides for shooting is the distance from the parking lot down to the beach. It is probably a quarter mile hike from where we parked to the beach and this weeds out many of the beach loungers making it location a little more exclusive and therefore easier to shoot around the passerby’s.

We had a great time exploring the location, and Brian and Alyda were so much fun to work with. They simply had fun with each other as they ran from the waves, chased seagulls, or simply got cozy on the really pointy rock formations… :)

Nathaniel and Ferrin, Engagement Session

I really had a great time with this shoot. We just got to play around on the beach for a couple of hours and Nathaniel and Ferrin were willing to get down and dirty to get some great shots…literally! It may have been cold and there may have been sand everywhere, but it was worth it. I even had my share of water and sand. I was up to my waist in the ocean for some of the shots, which was a little risky. There were a few times I thought the waves were going to sweep my camera away, but in the end it all turned out perfect.
