Coco Palms Restaurant in Pomona, CA – Monica and Benjamin
FUN FUN FUN! This day was exactly that. Monica and Benjamin are two people who know how to have a good time and it shows! The entire day took place at the Coco Palms Restaurant which sits atop a gorgeous hillside overlooking the valley. Palm trees strewn with lights, the city twinkling below, everything about this place is just gorgeous and romantic. We started the day with some getting ready shots and some fun family and bridal party shots before the ceremony started. Then we headed down to the site for a beautiful sunset ceremony. It became very apparent just how much these two love each other during the ceremony as they held hands, shared their tears, their laughter, and of course a kiss . After the ceremony it was a slight battle against time to squeeze in some fun shots with everyone before we lost our natural light, but we made it through and had a ton of fun while we were at it. I am thankful to have been a part of this day and extremely glad to know Monica and Benjamin as they are two fantastic people with a lust for life that would make anyone jealous. I wish them both a life of love and happiness. In addition to their photos be sure to check out their Video Teaser as well. Thanks guys!
Wedding at Eagle Glen Golf Course in Corona, CA – Tiffany and Nick
This was such a fantastic wedding! It was my first time shooting at Eagle Glen Golf Course and let me tell you it has some scenic views! The whole day seemed to flow effortlessly and it was fun to see how excited Tiffany and Nick were to be getting married. The weather (despite threats of rain) was perfect, everything was running on time, and the entire day was full of fantastic people who were excited to celebrate Tiffany and Nick’s big day. While we got some extremely fun Bridal Party and Family portraits, I think my favorite part of the day was loading up on the back of a golf cart and trekking off into the outer regions of the golf course for some romatic pics with just Tiffany and Nick. I may have been juggling camera’s and light stands while holding on for dear life as we scaled steep hills and rounded corners, but it was so much fun and we were able to get some fantastic shots. Tiffany’s gorgeous dress was made by Maggie Sottero, bridesmaids dresses by J. Crew, and the day’s DJ was Fred Davis of Sound Garden Productions (he was fantastic to work with so be sure to check him out). Thanks to Tiffany and Nick for making this such an incredible experience and for having me as a part of your day. Enjoy!
Wedding at the Korean Bell in San Pedro – Vivian and Bryan
What a gorgeous day for a wedding! We all know this has been a bit of a crazy winter for California so I was a little nervous that we would experience a dreary/rainy day. I was thrilled to find that when their wedding came around the sun was shining with no threat of rain in the forecast! The wedding took place at the beautiful Korean Bell in San Pedro overlooking the coast line, but we started the day out at the Crowne Plaza hotel in San Pedro for some getting ready photos. From there we headed to the Korean Bell for a beautiful ceremony set to polynesian melodies performed by a live Uekelele player! The whole day was stunning and full of life, from the colors to the people. Vivian and Bryan are such a fantastic match and it’s not hard to see their vigor for life and love for each other. They kept the celebration going back at the Crowne Plaza where the reception took place and Vivian and Bryan’s colors shone more and more brightly throughout the evening. Vivian had a gorgeous and stunning dress by Pronovias, shoes were Carlton by Badgley Mischka, Ukelele player and Hula dancers provided by Bright Entertainment, Makeup by Elaine Chou, and flowers by M’s Flowers. All top notch and beautiful so be sure to check them out!

10-10-10 Destination Wedding at Hamilton Cove, Catalina Isand – Shirley and Jay
The adventure with Shirley and Jay started earlier this year when Shirley contacted me wanting to do some edgy/editorial style engagement photos. After throwing around ideas we settled on the Salton Sea for their engagement shoot. Shirley and Jay drove all the way out from Arizona and braved the intense heat out in one of California’s most desolate and dilapidated locations for a day of crazy fun and stunning photos! It was fun to get to play around with the location, light, clothes, but most of all – Shirley and Jay. They were both excited to try different things and get out of the box and they definitely came prepared! We were there for a good 5-6 hours and we barely touched their wardrobe options! We had a total blast that day in spite of the heat and the bugs and throughout the day I feel like I really got to know these amazing people. So jump ahead now to their destination wedding at the Hamilton Cove on Catalina Island and as you can imagine, it was another amazing, beautiful, and dare I say, epic day! Not to mention they were married on a pretty amazing date: 10-10-10!! The fog was just starting to dissipate for the ceremony and some of the earlier portraits making for an almost surreal and dreamy feel that I loved. The ceremony was a beautiful and intimate gathering of their family and closest friends set right on the coast followed by a small reception held at the Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Gardens just up the hill. This was a fantastic location with a view and an amazing stone tower at the top of the hill where we got some fun shots. Oh and all of the details from the day were hand made/crafted/designed by the bride herself! All in all I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Shirley and Jay and I feel honored to have worked with such an amazing, kind, funny, caring, and encouraging couple. I wish the all the best and much love and success!

Oxnard Resort Mandalay Beach – Amanda and Brent
This was my first time shooting at the Oxnard Resort Mandalay Beach Hotel in Oxnard, CA. and I can’t wait to go back! It is an absolutely stunning location for a wedding. Not only is it an ocean front property but the architecture and design of the entire resort are all visually pleasing and their staff was extremely accommodating. So if you are looking for an excellent coastal venue, look no further. We started the day with some getting ready photos and pre-ceremony portraits with Amanda and Brent who were both was absolutely glowing in anticipation. The weather had been a bit daunting earlier on in the day, but it turned around for us just in time and we ended up with a gorgeous afternoon that was perfect for a sunset wedding! Thanks to everyone involved for such a beautiful day!

Wedding at The Green Parrot, Santa Ana, CA – Marc and Kat
I am more than a little biased when I say that this was probably one of my favorite weddings this year, but that definitely has a lot to do with the fact that Marc and Kat are extremely good friends of mine and I couldn’t be more honored that they asked me to be a part of their day. Aside from the fact that they are such good friends, the day itself was amazing. The Green Parrot is an amazing little find if you are looking for something quaint but with lots of character and charm. It offered a beautiful outdoor setting for a perfect summer day as well as a fantastic indoor reception area for dancing etc. Kat definitely chose her colors well and they complimented the venue perfectly. I have to admit though one of the biggest plusses from the day was definitely the people. Such awesome friends and family. Lots of energy of tons of love made for one truly memorable day. It was so great to be there for my friends on a day none of us will forget. Enjoy the pics! This is still a work in progress so be sure to check back in to see more pics as I add some more over the next week or so.
Nativity Catholic Church/Long Beach Hilton – Rachelle and Patrick’s Wedding
Ok, so this may have been one of the most fun weddings I have ever been to! Rachelle and Pat are such a fun couple. Get them in a room (or party bus!) with all of their friends and family and you’re in for a real treat! We started and ended the day at the Long Beach Hilton for getting ready pics and the reception and it was a gorgeous venue! The reception hall was absolutely stunning. They held their ceremony at Nativity Catholic Church in Torrance and from there we headed out to Lighthouse/Shoreline Park in Long Beach for some fun pics in the park. But I have to say I think my favorite parts of the day were when we all crammed into a party bus for some cruising around the town! Rachelle and Pat were so excited and they made it clear that this day was about having fun and celebrating their new life together. And celebrate they did! Here are some samples from the day! Also be sure to check out their crazy fun engagement photos here.
The Veranda at Green River Golf Club, Corona, CA – Tannel and Felix
Believe it or not I actually shot this wedding on my anniversary! September 3rd! Don’t worry, my wife and I had a very nice weekend getaway to Solvang to celebrate our 4 years of marriage and we had an amazing time. But enough about me! This wedding was all about Tannel and Felix and I mean that. They have to have been one of the most fun couple’s I have shot in awhile. Extremely nice and both of them are so full of life and energy it just really made the day unique and special to them. It was easy to tell where they got their enthusiasm from once their family and friends began to arrive. Great group of people! One of the fun details I remember about the day was Tannel and the Bridesmaids changing into Converse/Chucks post ceremony. So much fun! They held their wedding at the Green River Golf Course aka The Veranda at Green River, which I shot earlier this year for Rachel and Jeremy’s wedding. It is a beautiful venue. Extremely scenic and the staff is a delight to work with. I definitely recommend them! Plus they have a fantastic spot for romantic shots that features a small pond and some fantastic trees. I love this location and I can’t wait for the next one!
The Yellow Umbrellas, San Buenaventura State Beach – Ventura, CA – David and Monique
I shot David and Monique’s engagement session in Solvang and at Bridlewood Winery earlier this year and it was an amazing day. We had a blast walking around the vineyards and tasting rooms and I feel like I really got to know them throughout the day. So needless to say I was excited about their wedding, especially when I found out it was going to be a small beach wedding at The Yellow Umbrellas at San Buenaventura State Beach in Ventura, CA. We started the day with some getting ready photos at the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach, then headed down to San Buenaventura State Beach (feet from the hotel) to the Yellow Umbrellas for the ceremony and reception. There were probably only 50 or so guests attending, but this quaint little beach wedding was packed full of fun and love. The day before had been foggy and gloomy, but the clouds departed for their big day and the weather was absolutely perfect. David and Monique are an extremely fun, loving, generous, and considerate couple with a fantastic family and group of friends and I felt honored to be a part of their big day!
