Salton Sea – Trever O’Brien Portrait Shoot

I am in LOVE with the Salton Sea. I had to scout it recently for a trash the dress session I have coming up and so I figured I would drag my brother along and force him to be the subject in a bunch of crazy locations for me, and man did we have fun. It’s not somewhere you would really choose to picnic, but visually it is pretty amazing. It was really nice to get away for a day with my brother and to be able to shoot some out of the ordinary stuff. Enjoy!

Laguna Beach – Gaby and Matt’s Engagement Session

Laguna Beach is proving to be a gold mine of fun locations!! So much to play with! Gaby and Matt met me in the little downtown area just across from the Laguna Playhouse and we spent the next couple of hours just wandering around exploring the in’s and out’s of Laguna. They were both a ton of fun to be around! They even brought their dog Rocco down for some of the shots. After wearing ourselves out in the town we headed down to the infamous Moss Point beach for some shots in the sand and to catch the sunset. Weren’t any clouds to speak of unfortunately, but still got some fun stuff. Enjoy!

Hamilton Cove, Catalina Island – Parisa and Ali Valentine’s Day Wedding

I shot Parisa and Ali’s Engagement photos last year and they were awesome! They wanted to do a fun shoot that was reminiscent of the old Hollywood days and we had a ton of fun playing around in Pasadena with that shoot. So when they asked me if I wanted to be a part of their wedding I knew it was going to be a fun experience. I was right! Their wedding was held in Hamilton Cove on Catalina Island and they only had 15 people attending the wedding, but I have to say that it was one of the most fun weddings I have been too and absolutely beautiful! Not to mention the fact that the wedding was on Valentine’s Day! Gonna be hard to forget that anniversay. :)  All of their family and friends were extremely fun and full of energy and you could really feel how much love they all have for each other. Catalina is amazing and my wife and I actually headed out to the Island  2 days prior to celebrate Valnetine’s day and we had such a blast exploring and sight seeing. But nothing prepared us for the sights at Hamilton Cove! They had an amazing wedding coordinator who was extremely helpful and even gave my wife and I a bunch of great suggestions for our stay on the Isalnd. Her name is Cathy Machado and I highly recommend her and An Event Two Be… I am still busting through the photos but here is what I have so far. Enjoy!

Pasadena CA. – Andy and Charles

Andy and Charles are actually our neighbors and good friends and I was thrilled when they asked me to shoot a portrait of them! They wanted to do something fun for their anniversary and so they decided they really wanted some new family photos. We started right here at our Pasadena home/quadplex and then went in to Old Town followed by a trip to the Arroyo Secco park. It’s always fun to shoot with people you know and Andy and Charles were no exception!! We had talked a bit in advance about some of the styles etc. we wanted to achieve but really it came down to just hitting the town and hanging out while snapping some photos. Enjoy!

Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Center at Green River Golf Course and Country Club – Rachel and Jeremy

I shot Rachel and Jeremy’s engagement session last year at the San Juan Capistrano Mission and we had so much fun and I had been looking forward to their wedding ever since! They held their ceremony and reception at the Green River Golf Course and Country Club which is one of Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Centers prime locations just on the border of Corona and Anaheim hills. It’s a really beautiful location and I have actually driven by it numerous times and have always wanted to check it out, and now I have!! Great location for a wedding and the staff and service are all top notch. Unfortunately we got rained on which pushed the ceremony indoors, but fortunately we were still able to grab some fun shots outside in spite of it all! So we had our rain gear on and we managed to fit the bridal party into the gazebo and just had a lot of fun with the whole experience. Rachel and Jeremy were absolutely a treat to work with and their entire bridal party and family were all extremely nice and fun to be around. I am still busting through a bunch of their photos so be sure to check back in ’cause I will be posting more pics soon!

Abdella Family Portrait ~ Studio Shoot

This was a fun shoot! I met Betsega Abdella last summer at a wedding I was shooting that she was in and I was excited when she contacted me about shooting some family portraits for her. I was also really excited when I finally got to meet her whole family. We had a blast just playing around in the studio for a couple of hours and they were all so relaxed and easy going that it was really easy to get some great shots. Plus they all have such fun personalities and you can tell that they really enjoy being with each other (which always makes family portraits so much more fun!). I really enjoyed this shoot and I hope that I get to work more with all of them in the future! Thanks!

The Grand Tradition, Fallbrook, CA – Sarah and Jeff

The Grand Tradition is an amazing venue and I can’t wait to shoot there again! There are several acres of beautiful gardens, gazebos, waterfalls, you name it!  We were pretty bummed that it decided to rain on us that day, but even the inside of the Grand Tradition is stunning and so we still got some beautiful shots. Sarah and Jeff are so great and I have had so much fun getting to know them and shoot them over the past year or so! I shot their engagement photos at The Grand last year and was excited to be back with them again! I am bummed that it’s over!! But I think Sarah is planning a trash the dress session soon so there is more fun to come. :)

Laguna Beach – Moss Point Beach, Sawdust Festival/Tivoli Too/Laguna Playhouse – Tracee and Justin’s Engagement Session

I LOVE Laguna! Might be a bit of a drive for some of us, bot sooo worth it. I met Tracee and Justin down by the Laguna Playhouse and we walked up to Tivoli Too and the Sawdust art Festival as well as around some of the buildings and parking lots. The whole area is completely inspired by the arts so even the bus stops are fun and arty. If you’ve never been down there I highly recommend it! After we finished up with the fun urban shots we still had time to head down to Moss Point Beach to grab a few shots in the sand. The clouds were only on the horizon so the sunset was slightly subdued, but we still got some fun shots. I really enjoyed meeting Tracee and Justin. They were both soo much fun and energetic and I had a great time the whole day hanging out with them. Can’t Wait to do it again! :)

Trever and Jenn ~ Maternity/Family Portrait, Arroyo Seco Park – Pasadena, CA

This was a crazy fun shoot! Trever and Jenn really liked some of the photos they had seen from the Arroyo Seco Park shoots I have done in the past and wanted to use that for our location, but they really made the shoot what it was! They are both so funny and goofy and I am sure that when lil’ Jack (their son to be) gets here he is going to have the time of his life with his folks! I had a hard time narrowing down the photos, so you will just have to endure them until I can decided which ones to take down. :)
