Everything about this day was absolutely stunning. From putting on the dress in the morning all the way to dancing the night away under the desert sky. This was just an amazing day and extremely well put together. We were so glad to be a part of it!
I think the best part of the day for me though had to be working with Lauren and Tim. They were both so excited to be getting married and when you combine that with their sense of fun and adventure and it would be hard not to join in their excitement! What’s great is I think these two have been excited about each other for quite some time now. In fact ever since Lauren started working with Tim a few years back neither one of them have been quite the same. While it may not have been love at first sight for Lauren, it sure was for Tim, and a few dates later Tim won Lauren’s heart over as well. It probably had something to do with him being a bit of a romantic – as the story of their engagement would prove.
Here’s how it happened in Lauren’s own words:
“Ever since Tim was a little kid, his parents took him camping up near June Lake at the Silver Lake Resort. A few months into our dating, Tim took me to the same spot and I just loved it. Ever since then we’ve made a trip to Silver Lake each year. It is a our favorite place to visit and we love hiking there. Last June we went on our annual Silver Lake trip. Tim had been planning to propose in a boat on the lake but it was too windy and I didn’t want to go in a boat (obviously I had not idea he was about to propose). He said we should go for a hike instead. About a third of the way up the trail, he stops and says I should get some pictures of the lake. As I’m snapping away with my camera, I turn to look at him and he’s down on one knee. Naturally, I asked him what he was doing. 🙂 Then he asked me to marry him! I said yes (of course)! I was so surprised. It was the perfect proposal. Our favorite place in the whole world and now we have such a wonderful everlasting memory there.”
So that’s the story that led to this epic day!
