We went a little nuts with this session, and I freaking love it! From the planning to the execution I knew this was going to be a day to remember. So glad I wasn’t wrong about that. -Winky Face Emoticon-
Matthew and Brittany are both power packs of personality and fun and I really wanted to capture that about them as well as incorporate some of what makes them tick. It became clear very quickly that they both share a passion for movies, music, and the arts. So this session was definitely tilted in a direction towards the creative, colorful, and thematic. In scouting I really wanted to utilize a lot of color while also capturing a classic feel so I was immediately drawn to the Hollywood Murals and some of the artist district of Downtown Los Angeles. We also got to use the abandoned zoo in Griffith Park which I have been wanting to do for some time. It was awesome! But through all of the planning, scouting, prop hunts, and execution, what really stands out in the end about this session to me would be the magic that is Matthew and Brittany. Not only did these two rock the session, but they made it so much fun that I’m still laughing about things that happened day (“Like a Waterfall” – inside joke). So here’s to one epic duo. Congrats on your engagement! I can’t wait to see what your wedding will be like. 😉
I got a thing for American Gothic tributes. Guilty Pleasure.
Yeah that’s right, she’s a ballerina!
Took a few tries, but we finally got this shot to work!
