Cori & Jaelene’s Rainy Day Session

Now matter how much you plan for a session, sometimes things happen and your plan has to be tossed out the window. The key is to embrace those moments and see where the adventure will take you. I have found that often times these situations can make for some of the best shoots. That was definitely the case for Cori & Jae’s session.

Cori and Jaelene were with the winners of our Trick ‘r Treat costume contest in October (Congats again you two!) and we had planned a fun fall themed session with hot chocolate, marshmallows, and other goodies, but by the time we had anything set up it started pouring rain. While the rain ruined a few ideas for things I wanted to try with some fun backlight (the sun is very key for this) it opened the door to a whole new world of possibilities. But that was only if Cori and Jae were up for braving the rain. Little did I know that this Mother/Daughter duo would give me a run for my money. I absolutely loved this session and I loved watching Cori and Jae thrive in the adventure of the rain. They are truly two of the kindest people with a zest for life that is contagious. Thanks to Cori and Jae for their adventurous spirit and for diving into the unknown to make this session such an awesome success! Special shout out to their friend Melissa who was kind enough to hold a towel over my camera while we shot in the rain! Haha. You rock!

The last photo may be one of my favorites so be sure to scroll all the way down!

Thank you for capturing such wonderful memories of us! We couldn’t be happier with how the pictures turned out. What I loved most of all, was your patience during a time when most photographers panic! You still kept shooting through the rain which allowed us to have a far more unique photoshoot then ever! Thank you!
